Should Robert Plant take the $800 million dollar Led Zep deal?

Though the initial story that floated around a few weeks ago of Robert Plant ripping up an $800 million dollar contract for a Led Zeppelin reunion tour is untrue, he clearly was indeed offered many many millions on several of occasions. So far, he has turned them all down, and not because the offers weren’t high enough — it would certainly be the most lucrative tour in rock history. Plant’s a complicated character, with so many different internal motivations that never were so obvious back when he was a teen preening onstage with his shirt open and looking simply like a blonde god. But here in this Forbes piece today is my take on why Plant’s stance on the reunion shows courage, and makes critical sense as well.
